BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY
Flowing steadfastly into the ocean, surrounded by the hills of the proud and beautiful city of Lisbon, bathed in light at sunset, golden reflections glinting off the sea, the Tagus River is a river that incites travel.
LE LONG DU TAGE (Along the Tagus river) is a stroll along the shores, loaded with stories and discoveries. Carlos Ferreira returned to his roots in founding the brand in Paris in 2012 and carries his desire to share and pass on his passion for design.
Of Franco-Portuguese origin, he graduated from business school, grew up between Portugal and Paris, the inspirations that motivate his quest are myriad; the grandeur and mystery of the Atlantic, its power of attraction, bright colors dressed azujelos of houses. Just like the characteristic tiles with the delicate coloring, timeless and iconic symbols of Portugal, LE LONG DU TAGE represents enforce a craft that has been enriched to the strength of its traditions to blend contemporary style.
It’s all based on their love at first sight for artists and craftsmen encountered that consisted range of contemporary furniture and designs proposed ALONG Tagus. Always in demand for quality and know-how, products are selected for their character, that of a material (copper leaf mirror CASK BAT EYE) or shape (SHELL Chair BRANCA) and exclusivity (CLAUS PORTO soaps).
Between heritage and modernity, LONG THE TAGE is a human-sized adventure and the desire to share values, the values of authenticity, originality, quality but also the rarity, sometimes with a touch of provocation. Each of our items is a unique piece that tells a story, like the cork of furniture CUT CHAIR BLACKCORK. It took nine years – between 27 and 36 years - before the first extract unusable bark of the cork oak, and then wait until the third or fourth bark before obtaining the necessary quality at work cork.
